Our Workplace
A unique workplace in the heart of Berlin
The Humboldt Forum is located between Alexanderplatz and Brandenburg Gate. It attracts national and international guests: in the year 2025, the new urban quarter in the heart of Berlin welcomed around 3.3 million visitors. Across approximately 30,000 square metres – from the basement all the way to the rooftop terrace – the building presents museum collections as well as temporary exhibitions on a wide range of topics.
However, the Humboldt Forum is more than just a museum – the wide-ranging programme of events and educational activities includes guided tours, workshops, discussions, open-air concerts, film screenings and performances for both children and adults. The rooftop terrace with its view over the city is especially popular. On hot summer days, the colourful outdoor seating in the Schlüterhof or the benches on the Humboldt terraces invite visitors to sit and relax. A bistro and two restaurants offer a range of food and refreshments.
The four service departments of the Humboldt Forum Service GmbH work at the Humboldt Forum. The station “Museumsinsel” (Underground line 5 / bus route 100 and 200) and the bus stop “Berliner Schloss” (bus route 147) are right outside the door. The train stations Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt are within walking distance. The admistration is located at Spreeufer 5, just around the corner.
